Infection control has always been a top priority at our practice, and you may have noticed this during your previous visits. Our safety protocols are designed to ensure that every patient receives care in a safe and comfortable environment. We would like to take a moment to share the infection control measures we follow to protect both our patients and our staff.
Our office strictly follows the infection control guidelines recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We continuously monitor updates from these organizations to stay informed about the latest safety recommendations and regulations.
During your next appointment, you may notice some changes in our procedures. These updates have been implemented to provide an even safer experience for everyone. Some of these measures include:
Please arrive exactly at your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive early, we kindly ask that you remain in your car until your appointment begins to reduce crowding in the waiting area.
Our team will contact you before your appointment to ask a few screening questions, which will be repeated when you arrive at the office.
We encourage all patients to wear a mask while visiting the office. If you do not have one, we will gladly provide it.
Only the patient receiving treatment should attend the appointment. Exceptions will be made only when necessary, such as for parents of young patients or caregivers assisting elderly or medically dependent patients.
All patients and visitors will have their temperature checked, be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, and provide consent before entering the office.
Anyone with a temperature above 100.4°F or showing symptoms related to COVID-19 will not be treated and will be advised to contact their healthcare provider.
Our dental team will wear updated personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure the highest level of protection during treatment.
Before beginning your dental procedure, you will be asked to rinse with a hydrogen peroxide mouthwash.
During your visit, we kindly request that you avoid touching your face or teeth.
Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the office, and we will ask you to sanitize your hands upon entering and before leaving.
Items such as magazines and children’s toys have been removed from the waiting room because they are difficult to disinfect regularly.
Air filtration systems have been installed in our lobby and treatment rooms to help purify the air.
Appointments will be scheduled to maintain proper social distancing between patients, which may limit available scheduling options.
We will also allow additional time between appointments to reduce waiting times and limit the number of patients in the reception area.
